Electric mobility briefing · September 2026
From fleet operations to an autonomous future
This introductory briefing is a framework for evaluating an electric vehicle rental operation and tracking future automation opportunities. It is designed to make assumptions and open questions visible, not to promise performance.
TAVX360 publishes research and scenario tools. Tesla EV Rentals Inc. is the proposed operating rental brand. The rental business and any future securities offering require their own verified terms, operating data, and legal review.
1. Start with today’s operation
For a human-operated vehicle rental fleet, the fundamental inputs are vehicle count, available days, booked days, average daily rental revenue, and operating costs. A useful model also accounts for utilization by season and location, downtime, insurance, charging, cleaning, maintenance, financing, taxes, and customer acquisition.
The TAVX360 calculator intentionally shows only gross rental revenue and the annual cost number entered by the reader. Its result is not net income.
2. Questions to validate
- Where will vehicles be located, and what demand can be documented for each location?
- What insurance and rental terms apply to each use case, including tours or rides?
- What are the complete acquisition, financing, charging, servicing, and depreciation costs?
- How will reservations, damage claims, downtime, and customer support be handled?
- Which autonomy capabilities are actually available, permitted, and insured in the intended market?
3. Treat autonomy as a separate scenario
Potential autonomous mobility economics should not be added to current rental revenue without evidence of an available service, lawful operating authority, insurance coverage, and a defined commercial arrangement. The timing and value of any future autonomy opportunity remain uncertain.
4. What comes next
The next version of this briefing can include verified fleet inventory, operating locations, actual booking data, a documented cost model, and cited market research. Until then, all calculator inputs are reader-provided assumptions.
